Isaac Theatre Royal
The Isaac Theatre Royal is a superb beautifully restored and redeveloped historical Edwardian heritage theatre with over three levels. This Christchurch venue is home to many of the national performing arts companies in New Zealand. The theatre hosts a number of functions from birthday parties to corporate events and product launches.
Cossars Wineshed
Cossars Wineshed is a French provincial style venue with a hint of kiwi country flavour. If you’re after a causal yet sophisticated vineyard wedding, this is the place to go. Arts Centre
The Great Hall at The Arts Centre is perfect for weddings, cocktail and dinner functions, product launches and special events. Architectural features include kauri panelling and Oamaru stone. A magnificent stained glass window on the halls north wall is a focal point.
Taunton Gardens
This is an award winning garden venue. There is a free standing, purpose built marquee on site and any part of the garden can be decorated. There is an outdoor dining area for those beautiful summer evening weddings. You can have your ceremony under the 150 year old Turkish oak tree surrounded by beautiful views and 1852 homestead. Can seat up to 120 people.
Old Stone House
The Old Stone House in Cashmere is a perfect wedding and function venue with its striking indoor and outdoor architecture and beautiful garden surroundings. In summer most couples prefer to have their ceremony in the tranquil garden settings. It gives you total freedom to customise your wedding. It comfortably seats 200 standing or 100 seated.

RDA Equestrian Centre
Based at the agricultural grounds, this venue is great for large numbers, events with equipment, easy access. Great outdoor facilities in the park. Can hold 10 – 2000 seated or standing.
The Cave
This is one of the most unique venues in Christchurch. This property has been used for weddings and corporate functions over the last 10 years. It holds comfortably 120 guests standing and 80 guests seated. Lit with candles it looks simply magical.
Rosemount
Rosemount is a romantic wedding venue located in Ohoka. It has 18 acres of manicured gardens and also an all weather, all year round beautiful marquee with silk lining and polished floors. You have the added bonus of a lovely croquet and petanque lawn available for your guests.

Situated in Rue Jolie, Akaroa. The Gaiety Hall contains a main hall and meeting room and full kitchen facilities. Car parking is provided on the adjacent section. Available for hire for private functions and 21st’s. Can hold 250 standing or 120 seated.
Mt Vernon Lodge
Tucked into the hills and within walking distance of the beautiful Akaroa village. Mount Vernon’s sweeping lawns, with its stunning views over Akaroa harbour offer the perfect setting in which to make your vows. Friends and family can enjoy drinks and nibbles, wander around the gardens or even retreat to their own rooms. This venue also has on-site accommodation. It can hold 150 standing and 100 seated.
Akaroa Cottages
(formerly Loch Hill Country Cottage)
Nestled in native bush overlooking Akaroa and set on 12 acres of native bush land. It is a perfect location venue for weddings and conferences. It has onsite accommodation and only 85 km’s from Christchurch. This venue can comfortably hold 150 for a cocktail function and 100 for a seated function.
